Voice Coaching for Animation

I’ve been on both sides of the microphone – as a voice actor for over 30 years, and more recently, as a Voice and Casting Director for animation. This unique perspective informs my coaching, giving you insights into what casting directors are looking for. From my early work on the BBC’s “The Little Vampire” to voicing iconic characters in series like “Paw Patrol” and AAA games for Blizzard Entertainment and LEGO Harry Potter, I’ve built a successful career and I’m passionate about sharing my expertise, to help keep the standards of voice acting in animation as good as it can be.

Join me for my popular workshops:

“Acting Animated!” (co-taught with Nic Redman) helps you build compelling characters through physicality and text analysis, including a taste of dubbing. “Own It!” focuses on refining audition skills with personalized feedback and offers significant dubbing experience, including individual time with a sound engineer working on an established children’s animated show. Many participants benefit from attending both workshops, while others choose the one that best suits their needs. You can find out more about the workshops here. For a more tailored approach, I also offer 1-2-1 coaching, where we can work on character development, demo prep, and receive practical industry advice. 1-2-1 coaching is £90 + VAT per hour for previous workshop attendees and £100 + VAT per hour for others.

Beyond coaching and workshops, I also produce high-quality animation demo reels. Working with established animation scriptwriters and sound engineers, I guide you through character creation, script development, and recording (in-person or remotely). I direct the session, and then our sound engineer adds the final polish. These demos have a proven track record of leading to real opportunities. See examples of my demo reel work below.
